I come from a military family, father, uncle, partner and son, were and, are serving. I also live rurally so have my own experience of using guns, which puts my at odds with wanting to live within nature as equally as possible. 

It's this juxtaposition which lead me down the rabbit hole (no pun intended) which ended up in the creation of this vase. 

The act of firing a weapon creates such a forever changing impact, but could such a violent act ever be able to create something beautiful? But also if it could then should it?

Could it ever be ok for a violent impact create something that could not only never be recreated but also show elements and layers in the clay that you could never be able to see without it happening in such a brutal way? 

I don't know the answer but it makes me think differently about things....

This vase has been shot 8 times by .22 rifle and is glazed with a colour called 'Crying Rain'

FAQs

All the cups, mugs and shot cups are made from Stonewear clay. People report they have put them in the dishwasher and they have been fine.

Please contact us straight away if your delivery is damaged with photos of the condition it arrived in. Once we have these we can discuss the options available.

If your order is for a specific date please contact me ahead of ordering and we can arrange a timed and trackable delivery. This will be at an additional cost.
