FAQ

Is my pottery Dishwater safe?

Yes, the majority of my pottery is dishwasher safe. My work is made from high-quality stoneware clay and fired at high temperatures.

To preserve the finish and help improve the longevity of your pottery, I recommend washing it by hand wherever possible.

Overtimes dishwashers can cause additional wear on ceramics, especially with intricate glazes or decorations.

In particular circumstances where a lower fire clay is used, this is clear in the description of the item.

Can I put my pottery item in the microwave?

Yes, my pottery is microwave safe as it is made from high-quality stoneware clay and fired at high temperatures.

However, I recommend to try and avoid sudden temperature changes, such as heating a piece straight from the fridge, as this could cause thermal shock and damage the pottery.

Always ensure there are no metallic decorations on the piece before microwaving.

Any items intended for decorative purposes only and not food-safe will always be clearly noted in their product descriptions.
